Great Ocean Road
2 Days - over 400 miles
One of the biggest attractions in Victoria is the Great Ocean Road, which spans around Australia’s south east coastline. When I mentioned I was travelling from the Great Ocean Road to my colleagues (local Aussies) they boasted how great the route was, and the drive did not disappoint.
We travelled from Melbourne, it took us an hour and a half to arrive at the start of the road. The journey takes you along beaches, around cliff edges and through national parks for hours. There are many pit stops along the way, including information points to explain the history of the certain areas. The road starts in Torquay, a little surfers town and ends at Allansford.
Typical stops for the route include; Anglesea, Airey, Lorne, Wye River, Apollo Bay, The Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard George.
If you are planning to make the trip, I would recommended spending 3-4 days to allow yourself to enjoy each stop!
